The War on Cars, Barren Sea's first EP was released on 22 August 2025.
Around two years ago, our lead singer was victim of a nearly fatal traffic accident. The EP follows the healing process of Marie. This healing process is filtered through her everyday-life experience, her childhood memories, her deepest dreams and the longing for a better place.
Each song represent one of the emotions associated to the healing process: anger, confusion, grounding, love and longing.
