The War on Cars, Barren Sea's first Extended Play is in the making. Around a year ago, our lead singer was victim of a nearly fatal traffic accident. The EP follows the healing process of Marie. This healing process is filtered through her everyday-life experience, her childhood memories, her deepest dreams and the longing for a better place. Each of the four songs represent one of the four emotions associated to the healing process: anger, confusion, empathy and love.

Private Beaches, the first single of the album, represents the first emotion of the process: anger. It is a stream of consciousness weaving together worldly worries and transcendental elements in a dark and rhythmic tale.
